Trial to Begin on Monday

It was confirmed this morning that the trial for Constance Addison will begin on Monday, August 16. The proceedings will take place Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in courtroom 7 at the Butte County Superior Court House, located at 1 Court Street, Oroville, CA, 95965.

Jury selection is expected to take about two days, with the trial likely starting on Wednesday, August 18 and concluding by Friday, August 27.


The proceedings will be open to the public. During jury selection the, available space will be limited to 10 seats in the back row of the court room. Once the trial begins, all 61 seats will be available to the public.


Physical distancing is not being implemented at Butte County Superior Court House, but masks are required.


Addison is charged with: PC187(a)- F-Murder, PC191.5(a)- F-Gross Vehicular Manslaughter While Intoxicated, VC20001(b)(1)- F-Hit & Run Resulting in Injury; and PC273a(b)- M-Child Endangering- Cruelty to Child.
