Due to an abundance of caution with COVID-19, extra safety protocols were put in place starting today. The jurors were spread out throughout the courtroom and the public was required to view the proceedings via a live stream from another courtroom.
The People's final witness, the police officer who transported Addison to the police station following her arrest, provided his testimony this morning. Some body cam footage was also shown and audio shared. Then, extensive testimony was given by a traffic accident reconstruction expert retained by the Defense.
Trial will resume tomorrow morning starting at 8:45 a.m. at the Butte County Superior Courthouse located at 1 Court Street, Oroville CA 95965. Testimony is expected to be complete tomorrow with closing arguments taking place just before or after the lunch break.
