Trial: Day 3

Today we heard testimony from many of the People’s witnesses, including several eye witnesses at the scene of the accident, some first responders, and some mechanical and evidence experts. Trial will continue with more testimonies scheduled on Thursday and Monday. Closing arguments are likely to be presented late Monday or Tuesday morning.

Proceedings continue Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the Butte County Superior Courthouse, located at 1 Court Street, Oroville, CA 95965.

Trial: Day 2

Proceedings got started this afternoon with opening statements from both the People and the Defense. Two of the District Attorney’s witnesses provided testimony.

Trial will resume Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Butte County Superior Courthouse, located at 1 Court Street, Oroville, CA 95965.

Trial: Day 2 - Getting Started @ 2:30 p.m.

The jury for the trial has been seated and the trial proceedings will begin at 2:30 p.m. today at the Butte County Superior Courthouse located at 1 Court Street, Oroville, CA, 95965.

The proceedings will be open to the public.

Physical distancing is not being implemented at Butte County Superior Court House, but masks are required.
